Rust effect on Canvas

Hello crafty people,
Time for another project. This time I have tried making my own rust pastes using different colors and adding sand to it. The click gears are all made with paper clay and even the screws...
I layered the Canvas with cheese cloth first. Then cut grunge sheet in different sizes and stuck it. Gave a quick coat of black gesso. I made most of the embellishments. The watch, the frame , the bottle cap , the button are metal pieces. I loved the bulb on it. The wings attached to the frame are made with IOD moulds. I again gave it a coat of gesso. The came the fun part. I painted the Canvas with the rust paste. Then used the Finnabair waxes, then added some patina magic again from Finnabair to it. Hope you all enjoy seeing the pictures as much as I enjoyed making it.
Thanks for stopping by.

PLANNER WITH A PEN STAND

Hey crafty people. Time for another project.
One of my very favourite friend wanted me to make planners along with a pen stand to gift his near and dear ones this Diwali. I loved the idea and started working on it. I wanted to give it a vintage look.
I truly love playing with the crackle mediums and the patina mixes. Also the IOD clay moulds gives any project a defined and a brilliant look.
For the planner I first gessoed the cover then I applied the golden crackle medium from Art Extravagance. Then I applied black acrylic colour to it after drying. I wiped of the extra black colour with a baby wipe.I also scrubbed a bit of sand paper. I adorned it with a lot of embellishments made with paper clay. A centre piece also made with clay and added a metal sentiment LOVE with 3D matt gel. I have also added some art basic stones from finnabair. I lastly used metallic wax and bronze patina paste till the time I was happy with the result.

And for the pen stand I took a wooden pen stand added IOD Moulds. I choose a vintage design used. I first gave it a coating of bronze and then blue patina. Then I used sand paper to bring the effect. I also added metal rings on the sides to it. At the end varnished them all. Please pardon me for some reason all my images are horizontal

CREATE

CREATE

Hello all crafty people....hope everyone is doing great in their work day by day. I recently called for some craft supplies from Craft Corner India. The packaging for the stuff was amazing. It had a very neatly cut corrugated sheet of 15/ 8 inches to cover the supplies from getting damaged. It just made my imagination wander in all directions. I started with wetting the sheet and pulled out the top layer in some bits and pieces so as to make those fine horizontal lines visible.I then gessoed the whole piece. Then with the crafter's stencil of flower and some opaque texture paste from Ranger gave it some dimension.  I also added some cheese cloth. Then I applied some crackle paste here and there. In the centre I put some lace.
I loved hanging those 3 chipboard hearts with the chains that I made. I also used the honey comb chipboard. In the left corner I embellished the piece with a flower made with clay, to which I cut into two pieces and used it. Finally time to add colours to the project......
I used turquoise blue, grass green , raw amber some perfect pearl gold here and there. With a marker pen I also tried to define the honey combs . And yes the art basic stones are looking just so lovely in between those lines....just perfect. Finally embellished it with flowers, some stamping including some rub ons from kaiser craft and sentiment CREATE...
Hope its nice.

RISE IN LOVE

Hey crafty people.....its been quiet sometime that I have not posted anything. Well my kids have been keeping me too busy these days.
I loved the idea of love theme for the month of February from Papericious.
I decided to make a journal page using the naturals collection which i just love and use in lot of projects.
I first created some texture on to my journal page using texture paste with the elemental stencil. Then I stuck some old book page pieces. Then using the Lindy's Stamp Gang mists I painted my page. The focal point is created using the paper strips of the naturals stone paper.
I have used lots of embellishments which I made with air dry clay . Also I have used art basic stones and some metal pieces.Have also done little bit of stamping here and there.
Thank you for stopping by.
